Shanti Bhavan is a residential school and nonprofit organization located in Tamil Nadu, India. Dr. Abraham George founded it in 1997 with the mission of providing quality education and holistic development opportunities to children from poor backgrounds, primarily those belonging to the
Dalit community, formerly known as “untouchables.”
Shanti Bhavan offers a comprehensive education that goes beyond academics, encompassing character development, life skills, and extracurricular activities. The school aims to break the cycle of poverty by equipping its students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to pursue higher education and meaningful careers.
